Just north of the small town of Fort Bragg, California perched upon a cliff above the ocean lies the Inn at Newport Ranch, a place full of stillness, tranquility, and romance. When approaching the Inn guests are amazed by the wonderful redwoods that tower the area, the gentle angus cows grazing peacefully in the fields, the sharp cliff that sprout from the ocean and create the unique coastline of Northern California.

The entrance in the Main house features a cypress tree that is an old remnant of the town that was built around it hundreds of years ago. It serves as a reminder that people come and go, but the peacefulness of the place remains. Situated in the same location where the old logging town of Newport used to be, The Inn at Newport Ranch is an epitome of sustainability and quiet escape.

Founded by Will Jackson who bought the land almost 40 years ago, the Inn is dedicated to reflecting the area’s shipping and logging heritage with little touches within each room such as furniture, headboards, and accents created from redwood trees, while focusing on sustainability on property by banning logging, planting more redwoods, and creating an environment where wild animals and visitors alike can have an amazing experience.
